Seasons Greetings 2020

Hello and woofs to you

I wanted to drop you a note to thank you for your support in this very tricky year, and hope the forthcoming festive season keeps you well and safe.

It’s been a bonkers year for us humans, and our doggy friends must have found it all a bit weird having us home more too!

As this year draws to a close, I wanted to let you know what I am doing to help you and your dogs.

Firstly, I launched an online booking system during lockdown which is proving very successful. It’s easy to use, so please feel free to try it out if you haven’t already Services & Booking – Stylish Fido

I am also making changes to the salon to make it more ‘green’, ethical, and even better for your dogs and I look forward to letting you know more in my next email.

I’m planning to send these emails full of useful information out regularly, but of course if you would prefer not to receive them please unsubscribe using the link below. I will also be uploading the content to my website as it is written, so you can always visit the website to see what’s new.

I do need to let you know that if you unsubscribe from Marketing messages, I may still email you about  any urgent updates to my services, if needed.

That’s all for now

Best wishes, roll on 2021

New On-line Booking System – Its here!

Whilst I have been in lockdown my website developer (the saint!) and I have been busy putting a new online booking system into place, and this is now live.

It is found on services/bookings page on this website and I welcome everyone to use it where you know how long your groom usually takes. eg 1hour, 1.5hours, 3 hours.  There are booking slots for all these.

So for current clients, please feel free to book your grooms for your next, or even the whole years worth of appointments.

The system will send me an email which I can approve and confirm your booking, and an email will be sent to remind you about your booking the day before. Awesome.

If you do not know the time it will take for a groom, or if you need longer time than usual, please feel free to book something and put in the comments your notes, I can amend your booking and contact you if necessary.

If you are a new client, please fill in the booking enquiry form on the contact page, and I will contact you.

You will be able to book grooms, teeth cleaning session (30 mins each), TTouch training/general dog training sessions.

If you wish to book nail clipping as a separate entity, please contact me via the enquiry form/call me/text me/FB me however you wish and I will book you in.

Do hope you enjoy the new system and it works for all of us.

Caroline

Covid-19 – Lockdown procedure

Stylish Fido is currently only open to existing customers, and we are following the strict procedures set out by the Government during the Covid-19 lockdown.

I can continue to groom dogs for their own welfare; however, I must bathe all dogs and so can only offer full grooming services.

No teeth cleaning without a full groom

No puppy introductions (where there is no bath).

No nail trims without a full groom.

Vulnerable? Shielding? Self-Isolating?

If you are vulnerable or shielding, I would suggest making an appointment for when the lockdown has eased. Similarly, if you are showing any symptoms or are self-isolating, I would be grateful if you re-arrange your booking. Please call me to discuss.

Appointment Procedures

At your appointment time, please enter the garden, and just inside the gate remove all collar and leads and let your dog off, (don’t forget to close the gate behind you first!).  I will be waiting. If your dog is small and likely to bolt as you leave, please put your dog on the table and I will collect from there, however please wear a mask whenever possible.

Please remember, I can see you at the gate on the CCTV so will know you are there. We can still talk across the garden. Please don’t try and enter the salon.

Try and use gloves or disinfect hands after using the gate handles.  I have left hand anti-bac on the outside of the gate for your use.

I will pick up your dog from the garden and put straight in the bath. At the end of the groom, (and after I have sprayed your dog with an animal safe disinfectant), I will wait until you are safely inside the garden again before releasing your dog to you.

I would prefer direct payment via BACS whenever possible (contact me for details). If you have to pay cash, I can still take it, however, please let me know and leave it on the table.

Thank you for your continued custom at this time.

Stay safe everyone

Microchipping – The Law – April 2016

Well we are here, 6 April 2016.  The new Law on Microchipping comes into effect today.  What does it mean to you?

From today (6 April 2016), all puppies and dogs have to be microchipped by the time they are 8 weeks old with the keeper’s details recorded on an appropriate database.

If you have a dog that is not microchipped OR your details are not up to date on the database (e.g. address/keeper/phone number) then you are liable for a fine of £500.

You will have 21 days to either microchip your dog or update your details before a fine is issued.

Microchipping your dog will not prevent your animal from going missing or being stolen, but it vastly improve your chances of having your animal reunited with you if it is picked up and passed to a dog warden/vet who can then look up your details and call you to give you the good news that your dog has been found.

Remember the law states that dog wardens/police are only obliged to give you 7 days notice before they can put your dog to sleep, so if your details are not up to date, this is a possibility, and the reason it is now law to keep your details correct on the database.

Please also remember it is also law for all dogs to have a name tag with the keeper’s name and address on it.  This has not changed with the new microchipping law.

If you live in Steyning and need to have your dog microchipped asap, then contact me, as I am a registered microchip implanter, and will register your dog (or cat) on the Petlog database.
